 The Now What?! Collective

People who become members of the Now What?! Collective convene, host, and govern a given edition of this global pop-up gathering and the gift economy that accompanies it.  Each member defines their own participation and commitments as they see fit.

  • THE POSSIBILITY: help form a global “pop-up” community in order to...

    • Co-create an experience of belonging and connection through a set of virtual and in-person gatherings that are awake and alive, make room for joy and grief, embrace uncertainty, and support us in transcending our fears

    • Generate an abundant flow of resources via a “pop-up gift economy” to nourish work we care about, and to support those of us who want to serve Gaia as our "day job”

    • Navigate the complexity of our current times by collectively sensing, making meaning, and taking action, via a highly flexible process based on live conversations that works for all time zones as well as multiple languages

    • Propagate this pop-up model in many forms, including the establishment of Now What?! as a regular semi-annual engagement
       

  • THE REQUESTS: members of the Now What?! Collective are asked to commit to the following...

    • Have six conversations with fellow Collective members, based on the method outlined by Peter Block in his book Community: The Structure of Belonging (more info here) before the start of the next edition of the gathering (most likely Oct-Nov 2022).

    • Share how they plan to participate in the gathering and gift economy

    • Share reflections on the gathering as the current edition comes to a close

    • Consent to being listed on this page of the Now What?! website, which also implies endorsement of the Now What?! Declaration of Possibility.
       

  • Additional Invitations for Collective Members 

    • Receive a financial dividend in return for participating in Now What?!

    • Get involved with the design, hosting and/or governance of this edition, and request a financial gift in return if desired

    • Post to the Now What?! Invitations Blog

    • Personally invite others to become Collective members

    • Invite organizations, networks, and other groups to become Now What?! Partners
