The Collaborative Funding Dojo

Updated: May 17, 2021

Take a "field trip" from Now What?! to the Collaborative Funding for a Just Transition "Dojo," open from May 17 to June 30, 2021. It's a place for action-learning on how funders can share power with groups, communities, networks, and alliances to make better decisions about where money goes.

You will find an overview, calendar, blog roll and email sign up link on this page of the website of the Thriving Resilient Communities Collaboratory (TRCC) which is stewarding the Dojo.

This work was seeded during previous editions of Now What?! See this blog post for background and links to multiple "discovery" interviews with leaders in collaborative funding and Just Transition work.

Weekly Open Space Sessions

Open Space sessions are offered every Monday and Wednesday from May 17 through June 30th, at 15:30 and 20:00 UTC respectively. See local times and RSVP via the Now What?! Calendar.

Join these 90-minute Zoom calls to initiate conversations on any topic of your choosing, or to move around among the conversations initiated by others.

Dojo participants can use these sessions to talk about their own work or interest in collaborative funding, and to connect with one another and with members of the various Hosting Teams.

The Story of the Clouds and the Forest

Here is a blog post that describes the theory of change which inspired the Dojo. If this story of possibility resonates with you, please join us for this inquiry into ways that funders can act like clouds and those they support can act like forests.
